My phone was lost, broken or stolen
The Vault's money is on the network, not on the phone: if the passkey was synced with your Apple or Google account, you can use the Vault again on a new device by signing in to that same account.
The balance was not on the phone
The balance is in the Vault, on the Polygon network. The phone only held the passkey β and it only works with the device unlocked (face, fingerprint or screen passcode).
If the phone was stolen or lost, protect your Apple or Google account first: use Apple's or Google's own feature to locate and lock the device, and change that account's password.
On the new device, step by step
- Sign in to the SAME Apple (iCloud) or Google account where the passkey was saved, with password sync turned on.
- Open the password manager and check that the site's passkey is listed (the app's name followed by "Β· Cofre", or your login passkey).
- Sign in to your usual account and open the Vault: in the app, the Vault screen; in the browser, the site's address followed by /space/wallet (for example, parlocal.com/space/wallet). Use the same site, or the app of the same brand, where the Vault was created: the passkey only works at that address.
- If the Vault shows your balance, you are done: when you withdraw or send a gift, the device asks for the synced passkey.
- If you are in your usual account and it shows no Vault β for example, because the old account was deleted β, tap "I have an old vault β recover it with my passkey" and choose the old Vault's passkey.
A new Vault does not bring the old money
A new Vault has a different address and starts at zero. The old one's money stays in it, and only the old passkey opens it. Each account holds a single Vault: once you create a new one, the option to recover the old one no longer appears in that account. Recover first.
If the passkey was not synced
Look for the passkey on any other phone, computer or tablet where you have opened the Vault, or in another password manager you use. Without the passkey the Vault does not open: the platform keeps no copy, and support cannot recover the Vault, unlock access or move the balance.
Be wary of anyone who promises to recover your Vault or asks for your passkey, a code, or for you to open a link to validate the Vault: it is a scam.
